Weddings at The Cathedral
A family-owned hotel in Lichfield for wedding receptions and evening parties, with friendly service and plenty of character.
The hotel is a short stroll from Lichfield Cathedral and the Register Office, with photo opportunities at nearby Beacon Park, Minster and Stowe pools.
Our wedding team will work with you to tailor your reception to your plans, with packages to suit a range of budgets and preferential overnight rates for your guests.
Wedding Packages
Our wedding packages offer great value and help you plan your wedding. Choose a daytime reception or an evening party, with the option to add extra guests at the published per-person prices.
Day packages are based on 40 guests; the Evening Reception Only package has a minimum of 50 adult guests. If a package does not suit your plans, we can discuss a bespoke option.
Silver Wedding Package
Two-course wedding meal, evening baps, wine, private room hire and DJ. Minimum 40 adult day guests. £2,560 in 2026.
Gold Wedding Package
Three-course wedding meal, evening buffet, wine and toast, private room hire and DJ. Minimum 40 adult day guests. £3,420 in 2026.
Afternoon Tea Wedding Package
Afternoon tea, a glass of Prosecco and room hire. Based on 40 day and evening guests. £1,560 in 2026.
Evening Reception Only
Six-item finger buffet, private room and bar, red carpet welcome and DJ. Minimum 50 adult guests, selected dates. £1,600 in 2026.
The Lichfield Suite
Our wedding reception venue accommodates up to 100 daytime and 120 evening guests, with a private bar and room for your celebrations.
There are a few steps down to the Lichfield Suite. Please speak to our team about access and arrange a showround to see the room.
Wedding Menus
Choose your wedding meal or evening buffet from our flexible menu selection. Our chefs offer a range of dishes, and if you have a favourite dish in mind we will do our best to include it.
Drinks packages are also available to complement your meal.
Add Ons & Upgrades
Add on or upgrade your arrival drinks with a signature cocktail or mocktail for a £4 per person supplement.
Three bottles of premium gin with Fever-Tree tonics and mixers, making approximately 80 drinks.
Offer a selection of canapés with your arrival drink.
Jars, scoops and paper bags so your guests can help themselves to their favourites. From £105.
Add a chair cover and sash in the colour of your choice.
Our preferred DJ is available for your celebration. DJ entertainment is already included in the Silver, Gold and Evening Reception Only packages.
Stay with us
We have 36 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, with preferential rates for wedding guests and a four-poster room for the newlyweds. Please speak to our team about your wedding accommodation.

Standard Double
Relax and unwind in our comfortable Standard Double rooms, ideal for a restful stay with everything you need for a great night’s sleep.

Experience added space and comfort in our Suite, featuring a separate seating area and everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We have a limited number of dog friendly rooms available, so you can bring your furry friend along for your stay. Whether it’s a midweek pit stop or a weekend of wanders and walkies, your dog can enjoy the comfort of our dog friendly bedrooms.
